My “mission” is to let travelers see and appreciate my city as if they were locals, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for my hometown with them, as only a local could do. This is why most of my tours are “off-the-beaten-path” tours, I think that to see the real side of Venice it’s necessary to walk far away from the crowds and from the touristy sites and walk through charming and quiet neighborhoods, looking for the hidden corners and peaceful streets of the city, where you can still feel the authenticity and the magic of this place. I love to focus also on local traditions, habits and lifestyle today and in the past, to let you see how it feels like to be a local in Venice! I’d like travelers to feel at home here, as if they were simply having a relaxing walk with a longtime Venetian friend!

Lu was an excellent tour guide. She brought us to the best picture places, told us history of Venice with the most fun stories. She took her time and let us explore too. And she answered every one of our questions. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

Lucrezia has to be one of the best guides that Venice can offer. A perfect combination of history and culture with the themes drawn through to give us an insight to the modern Venice. All delivered by the most charming personality with a lovely humour. A very special experience..

We spent a wonderful informative and entertaining afternoon with Lucrezia.Booking, meeting and tour modification to our interests was just as uncomplicated as we could have hoped for.
Not the obnoxious type that some tour guides are, Lucrezia has the pleasant personality of someone you like to be around with. Thanks to her good English knowledge, communiction was never an issue and all of our many questions were answered.

I absolutely loved taking this tour with Lucrezia. There's nothing like exploring the city with a native speaker who speaks perfect Spanish. She taught us about Venice's history through her extensive knowledge, engaging anecdotes, and digital resources to support her explanations, as well as giving us great tips for getting around the city. I highly recommend her. I hope we can return and book her services again. Thanks again, Lucrezia!

Lu did a wonderful job!! As a native venetian, she is very knowledgable about Venice, then and now, and it's rich history. Lu makes it fun and provides great visual on her iPad. We absolutely loved her recommendations for dinner and gelato! Grazie!!!

The tour I went on with my family hosted by Secret Venice Tours was exceptional. Lucrezia brought my family to places around Venice where Lucrezia would bring her own native Venetian family. Going to spots only a Venetian would know is really fun. Secret Venice Tours business model is you and your family before a bigger crowd type of tour. 10/10!

Amazing tour to Squero di San Travaso to visit inside the Gondala workshop. We were lucky to see them launching a repaired boat, and a new gondola being hand made from 8 different types of wood.
In the time with Lucrezia, she pointed out so many features in the streets and campos, that we would have remained ignorant of them and their history, if we hadn't spent the time with her.
If you're in any doubt about using a guide - I can confirm it was money well spent for a unique experience.

Lu was outstanding from the first email to scheduling, her being flexible with our time and meeting place, and then we cannot say enough amazing things about her tour! She was engaging, funny, educational (but without being boring at ALL). She kept the attention of our teenagers and adults alike. As a talented storyteller, she customized the tour and showed us some really cool SECRET things about this beautiful city that we never would have imagined. We cannot wait to visit again and see even more. Thank you so much Lucrezia for a perfect first day in Venice!

My two adult children and I had a fantastic time on this tour with Lucrezia!! She was so friendly and informative, taking us to great places that weren’t loaded with tourists. She interacted with us throughout the whole tour and the three hours flew by. We learned interesting facts about the city and it was a great way to kick off our 3-night stay in Venice. My daughter and I had been in Italy for almost 3 weeks and she said that this tour was hands down her favorite. I highly recommend Lucrezia. Thank you again for the wonderful memories!!

Lucretia (the owner) was fantastic! Truly. This tour took us to places that you wouldn’t even know were places and scenic vantage points that you’d never knew existed unless you lived in Venice. But what really shined was how personable and engaging she was. 100% English fluent, patient and a great sense of humor, she dived deep into the history and significance of everywhere we visited adding much more color to this vibrant city.

This is a fantastic tour! Lucrezia took my family on a roughly 3 hour walking tour of Venice. Lu created a fun environment for my family, which ranged from 18 to 75 years old. We all had a great time! The pace of the tour was relaxed, but we covered a lot of ground. Lu was extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. Highly recommended!

My family and I had an absolute blast spending the day with Lucrezia. She was so incredibly nice, and very knowledgeable of all of Venice and the surrounding islands. I highly recommend her for any excursions!!!!!

Visiting Venice with friends and family who had never been before I wanted to find a unique tour to introduce them to La Serenissima. Lucrezia provided a wonderfully insightful and thoroughly enjoyable "kickstart" experience. Seeing that she offers several different tours I will definitely book with Lu again. I highly recommend this guide and Secret Venice Tours.

We only had one day in Venice and wanted to make the most of it—our private Kickstart tour with Lucrezia was the perfect way to do just that! She was absolutely amazing, teaching us so much about the city's history and culture while also sharing fantastic local recommendations for the rest of our day. The tour was the ideal introduction to Venice, and we left feeling like we had truly experienced the city beyond the usual tourist spots. We will absolutely be booking a tour with Lucrezia when we return. Highly recommend!

Lucrezia is an amazing lady and an amazing tour guide! She rapidly followed up with me after I sent a request for tour info and worked with me throughout the planning process to answer my questions, make tour recommendations and ultimately to come up with a perfect tour for me and my wife. Lu reached out to us again a few days before we arrived to check in and ensure we had no needs to help ensure safe and efficient arrival into Venice and to the tour meeting location. On tour day, Lucrezia arrived right on time and started the day by sitting down with us and showing her plan for the day - which was perfect. On the tour itself, we toured Venice like a local, seeing places off the beaten track and hearing details about the history of Venice and stories of the diverse and interesting residents of the city, past and current. Finally, we had a detailed tour of Doge’s Palace. Lucrezia also arranged a wonderful private gondola ride and helped us end the day and the tour with a beautiful grand canal boat ride. What an amazing time! Lu also helped us with our own plans for a previous day’s nighttime tour of St. Mark’s Basilica (we highly recommend seeing the basilica this way), dinner and of course Gelato. Lucrezia has great knowledge of the Venetian history and culture and builds strong relationships with her clients during the tour, treating us more like family than customers. We quickly made a new friend in Lucrezia and can’t wait to see her again. Thanks again!

Always utilise early city private tours on our weekends away in Europe to familiarise ourselves with the city. After some research, came across ‘Secret Venice Tour’ run by Lucrezia Della Sala who had really positive feedback from clients so decided to book 3-hour ‘Highlights & Hidden Gems’ with her. Communication prior to visit was excellent, meeting location secured and public transport information supplied to get us from Murano to meeting spot in St Marks Square. Lucrezia was extremely knowledgeable, providing enough information as we made our way through the different areas of the city. Overall a highly enjoyable tour with Lucrezia - when next in Venice be sure to use Secret Venice Tours services…a remarkable tour guide!

The best guided tour I have ever had.Lucrezia is truly knowledgeable about historical, architectural and cultural facts.What makes her guiding so special is that she shares more than just the facts you could find in a tourist guide.She knows the stories behind the buildings, the places and the famous people of her city and she shares them with generosity, kindness and a wonderful sense of humour. Lucrezia is able to adapt her tour according to the preferences of her guests and that flexibility makes the tour feel like a natural stroll around town. My daughter and I have spent an extremely instructive and fun afternoon with Lucrezia and we can highly recommend her.

Delighted with the Tour that Lucrezia prepared for us! Enjoyable, very interesting, it more than fulfilled our objective of discovering a genuine Venice and not the typical visit to the best-known places. A luxury that a Venetian woman in love with her city and highly trained in history and art could show it to us and also in Spanish. I would repeat without a doubt. We were fortunate to find Lucrezia (Lu) Della Sala & Secret Venice Tours from a review someone else provided. All we can say is, THANK YOU! Now to provide a review in return that will hopefully inspire someone else to book a tour, or tours, with her! This trip was three years in the making and was our first trip to Venice. We conversed with Lu in advance via email to discuss the things that were important to us on this trip. Her thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and the focus on what was important to us, was a surprise and delight. We were very fortunate to book several days and could spend a week learning and enjoying the City of Venice through the eyes of a local, Lu. Of course, she shared the usual suspects, St. Marks Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the famous bridges, the oldest gondola maker, and the famous bookstore. The real magic for us was behind the scenes. She took us to some of the dark historical places, quaint neighborhoods, secret gardens and provided us with laughter and smiles sharing some of the quirky history too! Her talents and level of care are second to none. She recommended and made reservations for us every night (my husband is particular about pizza, and she found places he loved), and even helped us secure a safe ride to the ship port on our final day. My husband says after three weeks of touring throughout Italy, with many different guides, Lu is by far the best! We are looking forward to our next trip to Venice, which of course, will include tours for as many days as Lu is available!

What a wonderful way to experience Venice with Lucrezia's secret tour! Indeed, it is not difficult to find the locations in Venice that everybody knows about, and there are lots of them and they are fascinating. But there is so much more! and finding out about the smaller things, sometimes having to do with how the city developed, sometimes things about everyday life, can change the way one sees the city. That happened to me. I loved the tour, and luckily there is always more to find out, so I look forward to a next visit to Venice and a secret tour sequel with Lucrezia!
